      Michael Cronin
 Vice President of Corporate Development

Michael Cronin received an Honors Degree in Mathematics from Durham University in 1981.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1984, and in his seven years there, he worked in their London, Hong Kong and Brisbane offices.  Mr. Cronin worked in the Audit and Accounting Division specializing in manufacturing clients in the London office and was part of the Special Investigations Unit in Hong Kong.  Between 1988 and 1993, Mr. Cronin worked for 3i plc, Europe’s leading direct investment company, where he was responsible for the making and monitoring of a wide variety of direct investments.

Mr. Cronin joined ASIMCO Technologies upon its foundation in January 1994 and was the group’s Executive Vice President until he left the organization in 2006.  In his role, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of the group and also led the group’s HR function.  In 2001, he won the award for Outstanding Contribution to HR in China and Hong Kong presented annually by China Staff Magazine.

In 2006 he left ASIMCO to run the Leadership Consulting practice for Hewitt Associates in China. He worked closely with clients in the areas of leadership assessment, executive coaching and change management.

In 2007, he became the COO of Peony Capital a China based Fund investing in projects which reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and then manage the carbon credits created.  Michael rejoined ASIMCO in 2009, and is currently the Vice President of Corporate Development.

Michael is a regular speaker at events in the Asia-Pacific region on leadership and finance related issues.
