Beginning in 2003, ASIMCO Technologies introduced lean manufacturing techniques throughout its manufacturing facilities in China. In a continual effort to reduce waste, customer demand is the foundation of all manufacturing activities. By implementing cellular manufacturing, whereby the factory layout has been rearranged into process-based cells that promote a smooth production flow and reduced waste, ASIMCO Technologies is able to correctly identify issues and increase reaction speed where needed. Inventories, process balance levels, and human resource requirements, are all determined by what the customer needs.
