While China has over 10,000 foundries, only a handful are capable of producing high quality, ductile iron castings suitable for use in safety critical brake and chassis parts. ASIMCO Technologies has a wide range of iron casting capability which includes a block and head foundry, a foundry to make chilled cast camshaft blanks and a new piston ring foundry.
In non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, ASIMCO’s casting facility in Beijing was the first aluminum die caster to receive a Q1 quality rating from Ford Motor Company. The Beijing facility manufactures high pressure die castings for the export and China markets, such as flywheel cover, cam cover, pump body, engine brackets, gear box cover, steering housing and oil pan, etc. In addition to pressure die castings, ASIMCO Technologies makes gravity castings both at its Beijing facility and its new facility built in 2005 in Hengyang, Hunan Province. The Hengyang facility supplies aluminum fuel pump housings and other aluminum cast components to the Company’s diesel fuel injection plants, as well as to global manufacturers of common rail systems. The Hengyang facility also supplies intake manifolds to both China and export customers. |
