Thanks to the sustained progress of “Made in China 2025” and under the impetus of Industry 4.0 strategy, the next-generation information technologies including IoT, big data and cloud computing have become a significant foundation for the smart transformation and upgrading of traditional industry and played a crucial role in transforming China from a large manufacturing country to a powerful manufacturing country. For an enterprise, the digital construction is an integral precondition for its smart manufacturing.

ASIMCO Camshaft’s MES Project aims to develop a smart factory that features the integration of automation and IT application, own the unified corporate platform based on digital technology and build transparent digital workshops in order to guarantee intelligent and digital management and make management work more efficient and modernized. This project entails Internet of machines, execution of manufacturing, logics WMS and integration of ERP system. The effective integration of different information systems will help control production planning and execution, increase timeliness and accuracy in the analysis of product statistics to prevent human errors, ensure traceability of quality management, provide quality statements timely to make statistical analysis more efficient, conduct financial management of equipment, cutting tools, grinding tools and measuring tools, and support the company’s development of its new ability to guarantee and back up the internationalized operation and control lean production.

Phase I project has attained its expected goal and gained the unanimous recognition in the company because of the persistent efforts of all the project team members. Since its trial operation, the project has enhanced the responsiveness and problem-solving performance of equipment, quality and technology, reinforced compliance and control capability of processing work, accelerated information transmission rate, timely keep track of those orders to be completed, and boost the traceability of product processing work.

While leveraging the prevailing trend of intelligent upgrading and promoting “automation, digitalization, networking and intelligence”, the Company will push forward the construction of Phase II and Phase III project as planned so that the Company’s manufacturing level and overall competitiveness can be elevated to a new level!
